Party in the Fortress! is a pop/rock duo of sisters from Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Emily Bruch sings lead and plays piano/acoustic guitar, and Michele Bruch plays the drums and sings back-up. Emily and Michele have been playing music together for pretty much their whole lives. Influences include: Hanson, Vanessa Carlton, Jason Mraz, Gavin DeGraw, Matt Costa, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Emily is a classically trained pianist studying Music at the University of Toronto, and Michele is a self-taught drummer whose style comes from playing a lot of classic rock (she is also a Kinesiology student at the University of Waterloo). Party in the Fortress!'s original songs combine Emily's heartfelt melodies with Michele's passionate drumming to create edgy pop and emotional rock.
